What changed for 2026

Texas redrew its congressional map in 2025. For District 25 that means:

  • 339 precincts → 310 (-29)
  • 13 counties → 13 — the county organizations this district works with.

Still here, but a different share:

  • Tarrant County — 177 precincts → 162 (-15)
  • Johnson County — 33 precincts → 20 (-13)
  • Erath County — 21 precincts → 20 (-1)
  • Palo Pinto County — 28 precincts → 27 (-1)
  • Parker County — 10 precincts → 11 (+1)

A county can stay in the district while the number of its precincts here changes substantially — which a simple list of counties would not show.

Most precincts kept their exact 2024 boundaries even where the district changed — the State House, Senate and Board of Education maps were not redrawn, so this is the congressional redraw rather than counties renumbering precincts. How this was measured.
