What changed for 2026

Texas redrew its congressional map in 2025. For District 14 that means:

  • 241 precincts → 235 (-6)
  • 5 counties → 6 — the county organizations this district works with.

New to this district:

  • Fort Bend County — 16 precincts

Still here, but a different share:

  • Jefferson County — 75 precincts → 60 (-15)
  • Brazoria County — 35 precincts → 28 (-7)

A county can stay in the district while the number of its precincts here changes substantially — which a simple list of counties would not show.

Most precincts kept their exact 2024 boundaries even where the district changed — the State House, Senate and Board of Education maps were not redrawn, so this is the congressional redraw rather than counties renumbering precincts. How this was measured.
